Middle and High School

In our modern education school, we understand that the traditional education system cannot meet the diverse needs of every student.
It is essentially outdated, offering the student to memorize and reproduce content, but not teaching how to implement their ideas and respond to all their challenges.
Therefore, we implement an innovative school, along with a modern, non-classical approach to education, which prepares our students for the realities of rapidly changing life.
We consider the unique talents, interests, aspirations, and abilities of each child and create a safe place for them to explore their ideas, show initiative, and find their own recipe for happiness and harmony.
We focus on building communities united by common ideas or values, and encourage our students to think unconventionally, develop their own systems, and rules.

Sapiens up – це школа-знахідка для нас! 

Донька поступила на навчання в школу посеред навчального року і адаптувалася дуже швидко і легко, адже атмосфера в школі доброзичлива, невимушена, вільна і дуже дружня. Великий акцент на психологічний комфорт дитини, розвиток особистості, повагу до власної думки та свободу. Це дійсно демократична школа.
Важливо те, що є можливість проходити навчання в українській та польській системах освіти, та, відповідно, бути атестованим у цих двох системах.  Зокрема, школа співпрацює із українською онлайн школою "Оптіма", яка надає якісну базу знань. Водночас, навчання із багатьох предметів, які викладаються в самій школі проходить англійською мовою, адже деякі викладачі англомовні. Завдяки цьому діти не лише теоретично вивчають англійську, а й щодня практикуються у мовленні в різних сферах.
Окремий акцент в школі на проектній роботі, що дає дітям можливість краще зрозуміти та засвоювати вивчений матеріал.
Школа забезпечує учнів усім необхідним, має затишне приміщення недалеко від центру. Зручно те, що є електронний щоденник, де батьки можуть отримувати інформацію про досягнення дитини, та спілкуватися з вчителями, тьюторами чи директором.
Донька летить (саме так) у школу із задоволенням. І хоча навчання триває до 16.00, це для неї не є втомливо чи виснажливо, навпаки. Вона почувається там, як вдома, де вчителі для дітей – друзі.

Найкраща школа у Варшаві. Дочка ходить з задоволенням. Це школа, де немає булінгу і дитина може розкритися. Це школа, де діти і вчителі друзі. Цікаве нестандартне викладання предметів. Маленькі класи, дуже рекомендую цю школу для дітей, яким важко навчатися у великих шумних класах.

Хочеться подякувати школі Sapiens Up за те, що моя дитина почувається у вас комфортно. Думаю ні для кого не секрет, що проблеми булінгу не лише від дітей, а й від учителів – це достатньо розповсюджене явище. Я чомусь думав, що зараз це звичайна практика в усіх школах. Проте як виявляється – це залежить від того, які принципи та яку шкільну культуру побудувати. За час навчання в Сапієнс донька ще жодного разу не зустрічала навіть натяку на неповагу. Здавалося б, це не щось екстра, а цілком нормально, проте це дуже цінно в наш час! Ну а щодо самого навчання: донька розповідає, що все цікаво, насичено та активно – усе подобається!

Радію, що такі проєкти створюються в Європі, і наші діти можуть отримати українську освіту за кордоном. Була в школі і можу сказати що вона дуже простора та світла, увесь персонал та вчителі – приязні та посміхнені. Коротше кажучи, з першого погляду видно, що простір створили надихаючим та комфортним для навчання. Дитина навчається в ній з вересня і враження дуже хороші: багато активностей, цікаві уроки, дуже захопливі позакласні заняття. Ніколи ще не бачила у своєї дитини такого прагнення до навчання. The Sapiens UP Democratic School for Teens was created to make learning not only comfortable, but also interesting and useful. It is more than just an educational institution - it is an environment where teenagers can develop, support each other, and learn about the world around them.

An approach that works 100%

The author of the school's idea, Olena Tkachova, conducted her own research into the needs of 13-17-year-olds currently living abroad. This allowed her to create a unique format of education that meets the modern requirements and wishes of students. Here is how a democratic school for teenagers meets these needs.

  • Sincere dialogue. The school maintains a constant, relaxed communication between students and teachers. It is a place of trust and mutual respect.
  • Skills development. Collaborative activities help develop communication, creative and personal skills. Students not only learn theory, but also learn how to apply their knowledge in practice.
  • Real-life experience. The school helps students gain practical skills, focusing on the modern interests and needs of teenagers. Students take part in projects, trips and excursions, which promotes socialisation and personal growth.
  • Language learning. English and Polish are taught in accordance with the individual goals and pace of each student. Languages become a tool for research, communication, and solving real-world problems.
  • Understanding and respect. In a democratic school for teenagers, every student feels supported at all levels. It is a place where it is safe to learn about yourself and the world around you.

An ecosystem aimed at unlocking potential

At the UP Democratic School, teenagers do what they are really interested in and have a talent for. Here, students can choose their own vector of education.

  1. There are 6 curricula, each of which includes in-depth study of English, Polish, sports, IT literacy classes, and soft skills training.
  2. Development of an educational trajectory in accordance with the future goals and needs of the teenager.
  3. A document on education from Optima School or IGCSE / A-LEVEL diploma - depending on the chosen option.

The Sapiens UP Democratic School meets the needs of teenagers for comfortable learning. We foster a conscious stance in learning, teach adaptation and flexibility to changes in real life.

Democratic principles and values of the school

Every teenager has the right to freedom and choice. A democratic school has a unique ecosystem that provides intercultural contacts for academic learning, constant interaction, and exchange of ideas.
